Mr.Littlejohn Teaching Philosophy
Welcome to Bellflower high school, one of the finest high schools West of the Mississippi River.
Teaching Philosophy:The room B4 at “ B” high is designed to develop, strengthen, and improve skills for positive academic achievement. Through content area course work, pre and post teaching, cognitive learning strategies are being taught which focus on comprehension and memory skills, organizational, in all subject areas. Self advocacy skills and transitional planning are part of the instructional program. All student’s progress will be monitored and reviewed throughout the year according to their Individual Education Plans/ IEPs. Keeping the lines of communication is the key to OUR success.

Our Rules
Room B4 will follow the district/school rules. It’s designed to help students learn, improve, mature, and provide a non threatening environment and keep all students, teachers, and support staff safe. Come to class on time and be prepared for success. Remain in the seat I have given you in the classroom. Remain off all electronics during lecture and project time.
Bring your own material to class. You have been in class for many years and you need the following: pencils, pens, folders and books. If you need more materials I will inform you. Using impolite language/behavior with each other is unacceptable and not to be tolerated in B4. Use good body language and stay positive.

Extra Credit : Extra credit assignments will be given throughout the school year. You must do your regular class work first. I will not assign or give extra credit if you don’t do your homework/classwork.
Attendance Requirements: Make sure you attend all classes everyday.
I have read and understand the teaching philosophy,expectations, grading, success criteria,extra credit, attendance, and whole entire letter.I play an important role in my positive learning environment that is set up for me to succeed at Bellflower high school and in life.
Subjects and Expectations for the B.E.S.T students
Subjects are the following: English, Math, Science, Social Science,P.E and Reading elective.
Expectations: Students will complete assigned work in order to achieve goals on their IEPs and review/complete assignments from their content-area classes based on their schedule from their counselor.
