By faith Moses kept the Passover

• …to kill & quickly eat a lamb, painting its blood on doorposts…

• …so that each firstborn would live

​

He did it ‘by faith’

• Was his faith a thought or an action?

​

What does the Passover point us forward to?

Which of these would be passed over?:

​

a) an Israelite who didn't believe but ate the lamb & painted their doorpost with blood

​

b) an Israelite who did believe & ate the lamb but forgot to paint their doorpost with blood

​

c) an Egyptian who put blood on their own doorpost because they thought it was a new fashion

• “Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed” (1 Corinthians 5:7)

• Without defect, enough for all, blood that saves from death

• Faith (thought + action) in Jesus leads to salvation!

Both! (And definitely not ‘just thought’)
