WWF is an international �non-governmental organization founded in 1961.�WWF aims to "stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature."
One of WWf’s founders was �Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh�and in 1981–1996 he was elected �the president of the Fund.�WWF's logo originated from a panda�whose uniquely recognisable physical features and status as an endangered species were seen as ideal.
In addition, WWF has launched several important worldwide campaigns, including Earth Hour , and its current work is organized around six areas: �food, climate, freshwater, wildlife, �forests, and oceans.
The organization convinces and �helps governments to adopt, �enforce, strengthen or change policies and laws that affect biodiversity and natural resource use. �Laws and regulations become one of the organization's global priorities.

Is another non-governmental organization. It was founded
by Canadian environmental activists in 1971.
It consists of 26 independent organisations in over 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, its coordinating body is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Its goal is to "ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity" and focuses its campaigning on climate change, deforestation, �overfishing, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear issues.�Greenpeace plays a significant role �in raising public awareness of �these issues.
Greenpeace�has a staff of 2,400 people and
15,000 volunteers globally. �It uses direct action and �research to achieve its goals.�
Greenpeace receives its funding from individual supporters and donations. �It does not accept money from governments, political parties or corporations in order to avoid their influence.
Greenpeace funds research and releases the reports. �It launches different global campaigns, boycotts, makes proposals, �writes open letters, and lobbies at conferences,�publishes newspapers and magazines.
Greenpeace is often criticised, �as businesses lose profits or are destroyed.�Legal actions are taken against Greenpeace activists, such as fines, sometimes they are beaten, �arrested and put to prison. �
Green Cross International was initiated by our former President Mikhail Gorbachev in 1993. Today there are member organisations in 30 countries and the
headquarters is in Switzerland.
Gorbachev spoke about the threats that humanity and our Earth face �from nuclear arms, chemical weapons, �and the man-made disasters, �affecting the planet’s ecology.
The mission of Green Cross International is to face the challenges and to ensure secure future. We seek solutions through �dialogue and co-operation. �To achieve this we: - promote legal and ethical norms necessary to develop a global community;�- prevent and solve conflicts;�- provide help to people affected by wars, conflicts and man-made disasters.
