The Great Wall of _________ is a wall which stretches 6700 kilometres. To give you an idea, it is about 2000 kilometres from the top of New Zealand to the bottom of New Zealand. The Great Wall of China is over three ________ that length!

The Great Wall of China is also called Changcheng or the Long ________. It changes in height along it’s length but in some places it gets up to 16 metres high.

Terracotta Warriors and the Tomb of Qin
About 50 years ago, some people were digging in a city of China called Xi’an when they found many life-sized ___________ made of terracotta. In fact, the find was further uncovered to find more than 8000 life-sized statues of ______________. They had been built to protect the _________ (or burial site) of the first Emperor of China from around the third ___________ BC (years before Christ).
New Zealand was lucky enough to have an exhibition of a small number of the over 8000 warriors last year. Miss West was lucky enough to go and see them!

The Forbidden City
The Forbidden City is also called the Imperial _____________. It is in the city of Beijing. This building was built for Emperors. It is surrounded by a moat and tall ________. When there, you can see some marble bridges, the imperial throne, banquet halls, museums and art.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
This park is the inspiration behind the fictional place called Pandora in the _________, Avatar. The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is made up of pillars of __________. The pillars range in size but the tallest is 1080 metres tall (over 1 kilometre)! This particular pillar has the __________ Avatar Hallelujah Mountain.
The park is a major tourist __________________. In fact, there are a number of ways you can view the amazing park. You can catch an elevator (lift) 326 metres into the sky OR you can walk along a glass bridge, 300 metres _________! If you have been up the sky tower and stood on the glass viewing platform, you can probably begin to imagine what standing on an entire bridge made of glass would be like!
