It’s not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.

Equity and Diversity

A School District’s Curriculum Should:

  • provide opportunities for learners to recognize, accept and celebrate differences between all of us.
  • promote a framework of cross-content curriculum opportunities that naturally embed teaching the social, political, and economic contributions of all races, ethnicities, backgrounds, genders, and contributions.
  • adopt inclusive instructional materials that portray the cultural and economic diversity of society including the political, economic, and social contributions of all persons. The instruction and materials of the course will be made inclusive and representative of all individuals and various groups of people.
