Google Classroom
What is
Google Classroom?
Think of Google Classroom (GC)
as your child’s digital link to learning.
Teachers use GC to share assignments, homework, newsletters, and much more with students AND parents!
Getting Started
Your child was provided with a secure login and password that is unique to them.
Check with his/her teacher to obtain this private information OR ask them to add you as a parent via email!
Username:
last 2 digits of year of graduation + first name + lastname @wbridgewaterschools.org

Password:
a random set of letters and numbers assigned by the computer. To check on your student’s personal password, please call the office.

Click on the Google Chrome browser icon.

Type www.google.com into your web
address bar.

Click on SIGN IN in the upper right hand corner of the browser window.

Type in your child’s Google Email address

that you are signed in to your Google Apps for Education account!

Click on the 9 squares
(Waffle/Rubik’s Cube) icon in the
top right hand corner to see
the Google Suite of Products!

Create a bookmark for quick access
By invitation only:
If a teacher sends you an invitation your class will already appear on your home page. Just click the “join” button.
How to join a class
With a class code:
If a teacher gives you a class code, click the plus sign in the upper right corner. Input the class code your teacher provides and you are in!

The To-Do list combines all classes to give you an overall view work that is upcoming and completed
The Calendar helps the student plan and manage their time by showing all assignments due dates on a calendar.

Each tab is broken down into sections by due date.

The calendar allows students to visualize their workload over time and encourages them to plan ahead for busy work periods.
