Percentile Rank-

Scores range from 1 to 99 and express student ability relative to the scores of other students in the same grade. This is nationally normed.

IRL=a criterion-referenced score that is the highest reading level at which a student is 80% proficient (or higher) at comprehending material with assistance.

Scaled score is the most important score

0-1400-raw score when they take start assessment on unified scale. We get this by looking at the difficulty of the questions they see and looking at the correct responses that they receive. The Star assessments are computer adaptive tests. So this means that when a student receives a question depending on how they answer it the next question will either be easier or more challenging depending on whether they answered it correctly or not. Over the course of those 34 questions that they answer they will really be able to hone in on and get the right scaled score.all the other reports are derived from this scaled score.The scaled score also gives us some insight into which instructional resources will be best for your students so depending on the difficulty and how they’ve done on the assessment we’re able to tell which resources would be appropriate for them.
