District Title I Budget

3 of 6

  • The district had unspent Title I funds from the 24-25 school year. It is required for a district to notify the public of unspent funds and of the district’s plan to apply for an Ed-Flex Waiver that allows us to use these funds.

  • Unspent funding was due to availability of additional ESSER funds over the past 4 years. These funds were used to fund after school tutoring, summer school, extra interventionists & aides, and supplemental learning supplies & resources that are normally paid for with Title I funds.

  • By applying for the Ed-Flex Waiver, the district will be able to offset increases in staffing costs. This will allow the district’s programs to maintain the current amount of staffing for the Title I funded preschool program and the K-8th grade Title I intervention programs.

  • Additionally, by participating in the Ed-Flex Waiver, the district will be able to continue to offer a variety of Title I funded family learning opportunities.

  • Maintaining staffing levels and continuing to offer family engagement opportunities are essential for increasing student reading and math proficiency.

  • We will use ILEARN data from 2025 and 2026 as evidence of progress towards our goal of increasing ILEARN proficiency rates.

  • Attendance documentation from the Title I funded family events from 2025 and 2026 will be used as evidence of successful maintenance of family learning programs.

  • Data will be reviewed in the summer of 2026. The persons responsible for evaluating progress include the Director of Federal programming, the Executive Director of Curriculum and the Superintendent.
