• Your child will stay back one day to do testing with their teacher
• Your teacher will inform you what day your child is to stay back
• Things that we will test:

Before Starting School

• Practice tying shoes
• Velcro/slip on shoes preferred
• Practice opening snacks on their own
• Practice name recognition
• Practice going to the restroom-pulling down and pulling up clothes
• Practice washing hands with soap
• Practice properly blowing nose

What to Bring to School

• Folder-size backpack
• Spare change of clothes in a plastic bag that stays in the backpack (in case of accidents)
• Small HEALTHY snack, lunch (full days), and water bottle
• 5 minutes to eat snack, 15 minutes to eat lunch
• easy open containers or disposable Ziploc bags (NO GLASS!)
• please pack proper utensils
• Please put your child’s name on EVERYTHING

What to Bring to School

• Classroom donation - cash, check, or My School Bucks
• all supplies purchased by teacher as needed
• Checks
• All checks should be made out to FUSD/ Oliveira School
• Room # and student name on memo

Drop Off and Pick Up

• Arrive on Time (classrooms will open at 8:08am)
• Walk to school! (Park on street and walk!)
• Use crosswalks to cross the street
• Parking lot is ONLY for staff
• Drop off zone is not for kindergarten
• Students dismissed from hallway door

• August 11^th - First Day of School
• August 18^th - Back to School Night
• September 7^th - No School (Labor Day)
• September 8^th - Permanent schedule begins

Afterschool Care

• Champions is on site
• We're excited to welcome Champions as our new before and after school partner for grades TK–5, beginning this 2026–27 school year.

​

• To participate in Champions before and after school program, ALL Oliveira families must complete BOTH applications below. A child cannot be enrolled unless both are submitted — completing only one will not reserve a spot.

​

Enrollment Instructions

• Step 1: Complete the 2026-27 FUSD ELO-P Application
• Step 2: Complete an application at Champions Oliveira
• FUSD will notify families by Friday, July 31 regarding eligibility for funding coverage. If your family does not qualify for ELO-P, your child is still welcome to attend at published tuition rates. Contact �Champions at ChampionsatFremontUSD@discoverchampions.com or 1-800-246-2154.
