• JustFix builds free online tools to help tenants and advocates prevent displacement in NYC through individual and collective action.
• We work in partnership with tenants and tenant advocates to co-create our tools. Through these partnerships we work together to identify community challenges and strategies for solving those challenges. JustFix then works to increase access to those strategies through our tools.

• Protection against evictions for no reason
• Guaranteed lease renewals
• Ability to challenge rent hikes
• Unfortunately, the law also includes complex eligibility criteria.

Calling out a few from the long list:

• If your apartment is owned by landlord who owns 10 or fewer apartments total in NY State.
• If your building has 10 or fewer apartments and the owner lives in the building.
• If your apartment is rent stabilized.
• If your building receives a government subsidy or has rent or income restrictions.
• Homes with a Certificate of Occupancy that dates after Jan 1, 2009
