Statist.se is a small Swedish casting company that connects production studios with extras.

Casting everything from school projects to featured films and tv-series.

In other words: they get background actors to come together for movie shoots.

Unfortunately, that business model doesn’t work too well with the current restrictions.

But the show must go on.

So how can statist.se carry on in these unusual times?

The answer is

The idea is simple: actors scan themselves and upload their 3D-model to statist.se/3D

Is it complicated?

Expensive?

NOPE

Today 3D scanning technology has become so advanced that anyone with a smartphone can do it from home.

And AI powered augmented reality makes it incredibly easy for studios to rent, rig and place the 3d models in whatever scene they want.

Resulting in:
