THON Lesson: Pre-THON Lines

Priority Entrance Line

      • Did not win the raffle :(
      • BUT we are a Lion Shrine org!
    • Starts at 11am at the BJC
      • Like a Disney Fast Pass
    • NEED 50 PEOPLE
    • DO NOT have to stay in line the entire time
      • One-for-one swaps
    • Sign up at the end of the meeting if you can!
    • If you have already contacted someone about it, I will email you beforehand to confirm

Normal Entrance Line

  • Those who would like to help stand in line but are not able to be there at 11am
  • DO NOT have to be in line the whole time
  • Come to the front at end of meeting to fill out your name and email if you have not filled out the Google Doc yesterday
  • Receive an email from THON directors telling you what time you can start getting in line
    • DO NOT have to necessarily go at this time

  • MUST HAVE PHOTO IDENTIFICATION FOR EITHER!
    • Penn State ID
  • Sign up for either at end of meeting

Digital Line Management System

  • Implemented to minimize waiting outside in the cold while the BJC is at capacity
  • EVERY spectator will be given a coded bracelet, which will give them a place and number in the digital queue
  • You can wait anywhere on or off campus for your number to be called

Digital Line Management System

  • If you leave the BJC, your bracelet becomes invalid, and if you wish to enter the BJC again, you must go to Will Call (whether opened or closed) and receive another
    • Between gates A and B
  • Once your number is called, you will have 40 minutes to get back to the BJC to claim your spot
  • Failure to do so will render your bracelet invalid

  • THON will release updates and info on the hour regarding capacity in the BJC
    • thon.org
    • THON’s facebook and twitter accounts
    • Text ‘BJC’ to 50555
    • Pegula will make live announcements when open
      • Open Sunday starting at 8am
