Capital Letters - When do we use them?
When do you use a capital letter?
1. A sentence always begins with a capital letter.
2. A proper noun, like a person’s name, begins with a capital letter.
3. A proper noun, like a place, begins with a capital letter.
4. Proper nouns, which are SPECIAL names, begin with a capital letter. (Christmas, Easter, June, Monday etc.)
For example: We don't capitalize the word "bridge" unless it starts a sentence, but we must capitalize Brooklyn Bridge because it is the name of a specific bridge.

Last night when I went home from school my mummy said she had a surprise for me. As soon as we got into the house she told me to wait next to the doors
he ran into the kitchen and i could hear funny scratching noise i took my coat off and sat on the stairs waiting patiently soon mummy came back and had something hiding under her coat the thing was moving and wriggling about she took her coat off and underneath there was a little puppy she laughed and put the puppy in my arms i was so happy

as i was walking through the jungle, i was suddenly surprised by a strange creature that was standing in the middle of my path wow what an interesting creature. What could it be
Carefully i approached it making sure i looked it in the eye the whole time it tilted it’s head and appeared to be looking me up and down my stomach was rolling with nerves as i stopped in front of it i reached out my hand as if to shake hands but then realised that was a silly thing to do as it didn’t have hands but wings what should i do
Raising it’s wings high into the sky, this creature towered above me i was not feeling safe. run
