I can take up to 40 students on this FIELD TRIP. It will NOT COUNT AGAINST your OHS ATTENDANCE.
If you decide to attend, you must be ready to:
a. Actively engage with business hosts (talk, shake hands, ask questions)
b. Prepare a short verbal introduction
(your name and your career interests)
c. Be dressed in business casual clothing
(nice shirt, nice pants, and clean shoes).

3. MO Seal of Biliteracy Option
If you are student who has taken at least 3 consecutive years of a foreign language or you are fluent/literate in another language beside English, you have the option to take this assessment to earn COLLEGE CREDIT at many MO colleges/universities and a Graduation Honor Cord.
Information about completing this option and testing will be provided in
your Counseling Email being sent by
Mrs. Jennings after this meeting.

You will have to PASS the MO Seal of Biliteracy in order to gain the college credit/cord.
Missouri Seal of Biliteracy
The Missouri Seal of Biliteracy is an endorsement that students can add to their high school diploma. The Missouri Seal of Biliteracy indicates that a student has attained proficiency in English and at least one other language before high school graduation.

If you think you might qualify and want to take the AAPL test, please fill out the Google form via the QR code above.
Please note: AP testers will automatically be considered and do not need to fill out the form.

Project Graduation Details….
When: Sunday, May 17th, 2026
Where: Pat Jones YMCA, 1901 E. Republic Road, Springfield, MO 65804
Departure: Graduation ends around 8 pm. Students will have time to drive home, change, grab their bag, and then will need to be at the OHS Parking Lot at 10 pm. At OHS Parking Lot before every student gets on the bus, OHS SROs will be searching all bags and student’s bodies before entering the bus. ALL STUDENTS MUST TAKE THE BUS TO THIS EVENT. Once you board the bus, you are there for the duration of the event. SROs will watch your cars at the OHS parking lot while you are attending this event.
Return: We will leave the Pat Jones YMCA at 3:00am with an estimated return time of 3:30AM on Monday, May 18th.
What to Bring: Swimsuit & towel if swimming, nothing else! This is a FREE event. Food, activities, and prizes will be provided. We will have a place to store your bag if needed for safekeeping. The facility has a swimming pool and we will have water activities, so be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel, and have a dry change of clothes for afterward. Bag items will be limited to swimming items and medically necessary items only. (These will need to be listed in the contract below as necessary prior to admission into the event. Examples are emergency meds such as insulin, inhalers, etc.)
