CPD Funding

External Training costing less than £500

  • Training needs should be identified in your personal development plan (PDP).
  • If it has been agreed with your line manager that you require training that is not delivered by the trust, and this desired training costs less than £500, you can organise to receive training directly with the external provider without the approval of training and development department.
  • The cost of this training will come directly from your departmental budget, so you will need to seek financial approval from your service director and process the payment as you would with procuring any other services.
