FINANCIAL STATUS

2023 has been a very successful financial year for AAFEA…..

  • Financial statements were completed with the timely submission of the 2022 tax return.
  • Reached a new high of $71k in donations with new donor pledges
  • The 2023 19th Annual Leadership Workshop was successfully executed, realizing significant cost increases for AAFEA, but the registration fees, donations, and memorabilia sales more than covered the cost.

Four Programs

  • Back to School Program

To assist and encourage families in the DMV with children returning to school we provide laptops, back packs and associated supplies for students.

  • Address Food Insecurity During Thanksgiving and Christmas

We partner with multiple agencies to distribute boxes of food to families in need.  We are proud to have contributed to the distribution of more than 3000 meals in the DMV.

  • Christmas Toy and Gift Drive

In the true giving spirit of Christmas we have made a commitment to “Making a Difference” for less fortunate individuals in our community during the holiday season.

  • Senior Citizens / Nursing Home /Assisted Living

In addition to financial contributions, we partner with senior centers in our community to help seniors remain physically and mentally active, as well as spending time, talking, playing games and of course……laughing.

Purposeful Living and Giving (PL&G) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that serves as a resource for underserved families throughout the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia) and Camden, NJ. PLG is organized exclusively for the charitable, educational, and support needs of the community.
