ARI received Charitable Status on 15th Sept 2014. We believe that often addiction is not the problem, but the symptom of the problem. We strive to locate and tackle the underlying issues that plague so many. We endeavour to offer our patients, a holistic, non-pharmaceutical service which is
orientated around their own individual circumstances and experiences. We are dedicated to helping the patient and those in contact with the individual a means of surviving and struggling with the heavy dark weight of addiction. We operate the 12 step Minnesota programme which offers a holistic approach, cognisant of the bio-psycho-social issues arising for the patient. ADDICTION is a very broad term that will encompass treatment for all mental illness, hopelessness, depression, homeless, drugs, drink, gambling, marriage breakdown and many other ailments that will lead to an eventual breakdown and finally a sudden unpleasant departure from our moral lives on this earth. We aim to get those suffering: To Talk and help reassess their lives. Nobody needing help will be turned away and all payments for services are on “an ability to pay basis”. Currently, we operate from four locations, all staffed as needed by professional counsellors on a voluntary basis. The FIRST FIVE minutes, spent talking to a person, who is suffering from mental distress and addiction matters is the most important. Our charity provides a minimum of two counselling sessions free-of-charge. Nobody is refused attention and all subsequent sessions are provided, on an ability-to-pay basis.
