What are UCLA Crowdfunding Campaigns?

  • UCLA Crowdfunding is the official fundraising platform open to registered engineering student clubs and organizations (“clubs”). It’s a space where clubs can create and share fundraising campaigns to raise funds for their most pressing needs.

How does UCLA Samueli, External Affairs partner with clubs?

  • We hold informational meetings with clubs interested in launching a crowdfunding campaign.
  • We review and provide feedback on your application.
  • We provide advice and strategy on your campaign.

Why do a Crowdfunding Campaign?

  • History of success!
  • In the 2025-26 academic year, clubs raised $61,130 across nine campaigns from 589 donors.
  • With these funds, clubs have sent their members to national conferences and purchased materials and equipment for their projects.
  • It’s a fun way to fundraise!

What Else Do I Need to Know?

  • Application: https://crowdfunding.ucla.edu/about
  • Please plan on submitting your draft application to us 15 to 30 days before the application due date.
  • Submitting an application doesn’t guarantee your campaign will be approved, but working with us helps!
  • Identify two to five club members who can work on your campaign. Ensure all your members participate in the campaign for success!
  • Did your club have a successful campaign in the 2025-26 academic year? You may be able to skip this year’s application!
  • Modules at the end of the quarter or during finals are not recommended.
