Job Seekers: It’s Easy To Get Started!

  1. Visit https://careerstarter.byf.org/ on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Click the orange “JOB SEEKERS JOIN TODAY” button in the center of the screen.
  3. On the dashboard you will see buttons to do a variety of actions, such as “Explore Careers”, take the “Career Quiz”, and go to your “Job Match Profile”.
  4. Click on the “Job Match Profile” button to customize your profile which will allow you to immediately be matched to jobs and educational opportunities near you!
  5. After that, navigate the site as you wish!
    • Take the career quiz to learn more about what trades may fit your personality!
    • Explore careers and learn more about what each trade entails.
    • Discovery all of the educational opportunities near you.
    • Look through companies and, if ready, start applying for jobs!

    1. Click the orange “FOR EDUCATORS” button in the upper righthand of the screen.
    2. Or you can navigate directly to https://careerstarter.byf.org/educator
  2. Click the orange button in the center of the screen that reads “EDUCATORS JOIN TODAY”.
  3. Simply fill out the prompted information about yourself and your organization and click the orange button that reads “SUBMIT”.
  4. The system will need to verify your account but once verified, you’ll be able to:
    • View student activity and communicate with them through the platform
    • Connect your students to employment opportunities
    • Run reports to track crucial metrics and show the success of your program(s)
    • Promote your programs to all users of the platform
    • And more!

Employers: It’s Easy To Get Started!

  1. Visit https://careerstarter.byf.org/ on your computer or mobile device.
    1. Click the orange “FOR EMPLOYERS” button in the upper righthand of the screen.
    2. Or you can navigate directly to https://careerstarter.byf.org/employer
  2. Click the orange button in the center of the screen that reads “EMPLOYERS JOIN TODAY”.
  3. If your company is already in existence on the CareerStarter platform you would fill out your company name and follow the prompts following. But, if your company is not already on the platform you would click the blue button that reads “CREATE A NEW COMPANY”, then fill out you and your company’s information.
  4. The system will need to verify your account but once verified, you’ll be able to:
    • Start customizing your company profile page
    • Add an unlimited amount of entry-level job postings
    • Explore your candidate matches
    • And more!
