Expectations

  • Come prepared, Dressed and ready to go at 3:45 in the gym for practice
  • Try your best, always
  • Appropriate Clothing-match the school handbook, t-shirt, athletic shoes, and shorts
  • Lock your items in your locker
  • Be Respectful, have good sportsmanship no matter where we are
  • You will watch your teammates and cheer for them, not running around
    • Sign off after all games are done
  • Dress Nicely for games-no blues jeans, think formal event or church outfit
    • Unless we wear a team shirt
  • Chain of command: Athlete and coach first, parent and coach second

Reminders

  • First practice is at 3:45-5:30 on Aug 21 and 22
    • Remaining practices at 3:45-5:30 starting Aug 23 once school starts
  • You must have a completed physical before you can do anything
  • Read and go through the Team handbook
  • Return all paperwork (team handbook, concussion form, athletic handbook,etc)
  • If you are traveling with someone other than parents, paperwork must be done 24hr in advance

Optional Friday Practices when there are no games

IF you are going to be gone from practice, it is your responsibility to tell a coach. Not a friend or a parent

Schoolwork is excused, school always comes first

If you miss practice you might have makeup conditioning to do to catch up

  • We play to get better, and for the love of the game
  • We will try to win as best as we can
    • This level is about building skills for high school
  • Participation is not completely equal-but everyone will play
    • A team is more focused on team success (culminating tournament at the end of the season)
    • B team is more focused on developing skills to make the A team
    • Attitude and effort are very important when considering your playing time
