REGULAR PLURALS: ADD -S

Most Words

Add -s to most nouns to make them plural.

Examples

  • 1 cat -> 3 cats

PLURALS WITH -ES

Special Sounds

If a word ends in -s, -x, -z, -ch, or -sh, add -es.

Why?

It helps the word sound right!

Examples

1 bus becomes 2 buss**.

1 box becomes 2 box�es**.
