Discovery Study on Measurements in Acts [20 min in small groups]

We will now be using the Acts Mission & Metrics Bible Study. Obviously, certain activities led to certain results in the Book of Acts. And the Holy Spirit led Luke to record them (practices/results). We will observe that as the first Church advanced geographically and numerically, they consistently recorded certain practices and results. This Bible Study will guide us through answering some important questions regarding the ministry of the Apostles.

Explain the instructions.

Assign each small group a time period to study.

In your small group, divide up the passages. Fill in The Disciples’ Practices and The Results. Share your findings with others in your group.

1. What did they actually do? What were the practices of the Apostles and first/second/third generation of disciples?

2. What was the result of those practices?

Send to small groups for 20 minutes
Upon return from discussion groups, ask “What practices did you observe?” and “What resulted from those practices?”

Create GenMapper accounts for all users. The GenMapper system will send a message to each user to reset their password.
Send Thank you message 1B. Invite them to share their I Will statements in the WhatsApp group. Included in this message are the required steps to delete the gcmdemo user data and begin fresh with their own login.
Send a second message that you are praying for them. Ask them to share in the WhatsApp group what God is doing as they do their I Will statements (soft accountability).

Thank you for joining our training. You should all have GenMapper accounts now. I suggest that you spend time in the DEMO account to become familiar with the tool. Then follow the steps below.

GenMapper is not designed for 2 users on 1 device. So to not confuse GenMapper, you must delete the gcmdemo user that you have been practicing with. The deleting process and then beginning again with your own account is what these steps help you do.

To prepare your device for your personal GenMapper account, you must delete the streams from the gcmdemo account are stored on their device.

1. Go to the menu in the top right corner

2. Select Settings

3. At the bottom of the next menu choose Advanced

4. Click on Delete Forms, then YES

5. Also click on Reinitialize Database, then click YES

6. Click on the back arrow ( < ) in the top left of the screen

7. Go to the menu in the top right corner again

8. Choose Download Forms

9. Click on the cloud icon for genmapper_ishare, the OK

10. Click on the back arrow ( < ) in the top left of the screen
