  • Students will be preparing for their Reader’s Theatre plays. There are 5 fairy tale stories that students will bring to life. Each group will present their play to the lower elementary classes on the last week of school. Students will be preparing their plays this week, refining their character, and creating props and costumes that go along with their specific play.
  • Students will begin their end of the year challenge activities that are a tradition for all 6th graders. This includes:
    • Note card / battery bridge competition (Individual)
    • Popsicle Stick Bridge building competition (Partners)
    • Egg drop contraption competition (Team)
    • NASA space crash landing challenge (Team)
    • Spaghetti and gumdrop Tall towers competition (Partners)
  • Students will need to collect and bring in the materials needed for each competition. We will go over this on Wednesday.

Field Trip to Pluto Cave

Tuesday, May 26th, we will be traveling to Pluto Cave near Mount Shasta, and visiting the Headwater’s Park afterwards for lunch.

Permission slips were handed out this week, detailing the upcoming field trip.

Chaperones are encouraged! We would love to have your help! Chaperones are welcome to ride the bus with the students.
