Day 25 Schedule

  • Daily Journal- 5 minutes of silent writing.

a. Write today’s date at the beginning of each entry.

b. Free write- write about any topic you would like to: Sports, food, hobbies, vacation, summer, classes, etc..

c. Minimum of 12 lines.

d. Scored/ graded at the end of quarter.

60 Second Fix

  • Feet flat on the floor
  • Hands in lap or on legs
  • Legs not crossed
  • Wiggle your toes (gives a sense of being grounded)
  • Back on the back of the chair (sense of connection)
  • Cleansing breath through nose (in nose, out of nose)
  • Notice your breathing, refocus if distracted
  • Let the stress out with each breath
  • Close your eyes, look at the ground or focus on a visual

Name Game...

  1. Start with student closest to the door
  2. Each student will…

a. Say your first name

b. Add “and I like ____________” (Must start with the first two letters of your name.)

c. Example, My name is Diane and I like dinosaurs.

3. The next student does the same, then adds each student before him/her, as well as what each person likes.

4. What if I mess up? That student re-states their name and what they like, and then you start all over until you get it right……. Let’s get started!
