Structure of the year

  • Courses are organized mostly as one-week modules, and are taught in English
    • Exam at the end of each week (Friday)
    • One week’s course = 3 credits

  • Two semesters, of 30 credits each

First semester  : (Sept-Dec 2023)

  • UE 1 : Obligatory modules (for a total of 9 credits)
  • UE 2 : Obligatory modules (for a total of 15 credits)
  • UE 3 : Optional modules (for a total of 6 credits)

Second semester : (Jan-June 2024)

  • UE 4 : Research project : 30 credits (students receive stipend ±450 € / month)

    • Personal project (5 credits) :

= bibliographic module, in groups of 2 students.

Presentation of a review lecture based on a topic selected by the professor; followed by questioning

        • NB :Admission to Pasteur Institute courses is selective and not automatic. Students must apply with CV and a statement explaining their interest. Selection is made before June 15. Only 3-4 students/course

      • = a six-month laboratory research project in one of the institutes that are affiliated with the program: Institut Pasteur, Institut Cochin, Institut Curie, Institut Jacques Monod, Center for Epigenetics & Cell Fate, Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), Hôpital Necker Enfants Malades, Institut Imagine, Hôpital St Louis, Genopole,

(total of > 300 labs)

      • Students receive a stipend of approx. 540 € /month
