Thoughts on Promises

AKA, can we just ship 1.0 already

#1: We need to support the current gUM API.

​

#2: We need to retrofit Promises to other APIs (e.g. XHR).

​

#3: Ergo (#1 + #2), we can retrofit Promises to gUM.

#4: We need to finish 1.0

#5: Adding Promises will make #4 take longer.

#6: Promises will not drive adoption of WebRTC 1.0.

​

#7: Ergo (#3 -> #6), we can and should add Promises later.
