WHITE by Bahara
White is the color of my walls,
and white is snow and fog.
Ice and milk are white.
A bride’s dress is white, and so are my teeth.
White makes me feel clean and comfortable,
White makes me feel hopeful.
BLACK by Bahara
Black is my eyes and my hair,
and black is the color of an outside niqab.
Black makes me feel sleepy and dark,
But, black clothes make me feel beautiful.
Yes, I am a girl like a butterfly alive on a flowerThe flower has so many thorns but,the leaves of the flower save me.Zahra, 16, 2019Why is she like a butterfly on a flower? What are the thorns (hard things) in your life? What are the leaves (good things) in your life? How do the good things save you?
Afghan artists:Which style do you like best? What painting do you like? Why? What is happening/do you see in the painting? How does it make you feel? Why is that?
