Services range to meet student needs and based on assessment data and IEP goals- Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Behavior Intervention, Adaptive PE and more.

Our AT Promise Learners: Some Numbers

  • Total Number of students in HCSD: 1274
  • Students with IEPs- 167 (includes Speech and Language PreSchool)= about 13% of total student population.
  • Students with 504 plan accommodations (general education function)- 50
  • Based on IEP goals and assessment data:
    • 55% of students with IEPs receive S&L services
    • 25% of students with IEPs receive OT services

HPD TRAINING

100% of HPD sworn officers have attended and completed a 40 hour Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). 6 Officers have completed the Enhanced CIT Training

The only POST (Police Officer Standards in Training) mandated training for persons with developmental disabilities is in the basic police academy.
