Brazil

  • Brazil is the largest country in both South America and Latin America. Its capital is Brasilia. It was discovered by Pedro Cabral in 1500.
  • The food in Brazil is different from the other countries in South America and it is made of different cultures. There is a good street food in Brazil. The most famous one is: Bolinhos de bacalhau – this is made of delicious cod balls and it is one of the best street foods in Brazil.
  • In Brazil there are many cool places too. You can go to Sao Paulo. This is the biggest city in Brazil. It has lots of skyscrapers and there is the Atlantic rainforest. You can also visit the capital Brasilia. It is capital since 1960. There is the square of the three authorities, the Congress and the Supreme Court. The most beautiful city in Brazil is Rio de Janeiro. It is famous with its statue of Jesus.

Italy

  • Italy is a country in Europe and it is also part of the European Union since 1958. Rome is the largest city of Italy and it has been a capital since 1870.
  • The thing that people like most about Italy is the food. Top 3 best foods are risotto, pizza and pasta.
  • Risotto can be cooked lots of ways. Among the most popular is ‘’risotto alla milanese’’, which’s prepared with white wine, Parmesan cheese, butter, onions and saffron. It can be made with many other ingredients, too.
  • Pizza is a national symbol, the food that represents Italy around the world. Every pizza maker has their own secrets and every pizza can be topped in many different ways. The ‘’pizza margherita’’ is the most famous pizza, made with tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil.

  • Japan is a country in East Asia, situated on several islands in the Pacific Ocean. It has an area of 377,973 km and a population of 126,513,062 in 2021.
  • The capital of Japan is Tokyo and the official language is Japanese.
  • Japan is the most developed country in Asia. Its economy is the third in the world.
  • Japan is a constitutional monarchy. The head of the state is the emperor, whose power is limited.
  • Traditional Japanese cuisine is based on rice or noodles with miso soup and other dishes. There is an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. Dishes often consist of fish, pickles and vegetables cooked in broth. Seafood is common, usually grilled, but is also served raw as sushi. Seafood and vegetables are fried in butter.
  • Japanese cuisine, especially sushi, has become popular all over the world.

Russia

  • Russia is the largest county in the world and her length is 72 million square km. It covers large areas in Eastern Europe and North Asia. Russia borders 18 countries.
  • People in Russia preach Christianity. The country was created in 862.
  • Russia’s food is very delicious. Some of the most famous are pirozhki, borscht and pelmeni. Pirozhki are little pastries full of potatoes, meat, cabbage, or cheese. Borscht is a beet soup full of meat and vegetables. Pelmeni are pastry filled with minced meat and wrapped in a thin pasta.

Turkey

  • Turkey is a country whose territory is almost entirely located in Asia (97%), and the remaining 3% - on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeast Europe. Turkey borders 8 countries. It covers an area of 783,562 km2. With a population of 82 million, it is the 16th most populous country in the world. The capital is Ankara.
  • The most famous historical places to visit are Ephesus and Nemrut.
  • Ephesus is one of the best preserved Roman cities. The majestic ruins with important historical monuments are a popular attraction in Turkey.
  • Mount Nemrut is located in southeastern Turkey. King Antiochus 1 Theos built his tomb, around which he arranged various statues - both of himself and of two lions, two eagles and various Greek and Persian gods.
  • Traditional food in Turkey are imambayalda and baklava. Imambayalda is roasted eggplant with onions, tomatoes and spices. Baklava can contain not only walnuts, but also Turkish delight, fruits, chocolate, nuts, honey, which are sprinkled with syrup.

  • The most famous Spanish foods are paella, patatas bravas, gazpacho, tortilla & churros. The country is a big producer of wine and high quality olive oils.
