PROBLEM STATEMENT

Drills are a core part of the platform and students spend the bulk of their time working on them.

However, today’s experience is strictly a solo-play experience. This process is great for building muscle memory and practicing... BUT we believe there are significant user pain points left unsolved with the current experience.

RESEARCH:

INTERVIEW PREP SPACE

5 of 18

Primary Research

We interviewed a Deloitte and PwC Consulting Intern to learn about how they prepared for their interviews and their experience with each method.

Self Study: Practice Cases

Watching Video Cases

Casing with a Friend

Interactive Online Cases

Would self practice full written cases from consulting archives

Pros: Gained a lot of exposure, time flexible

Cons: Difficult to find motivation

Would watch mock interviews on consulting firms’ Youtube channels

Pros: Clear expectation of interview

Cons: Less individual problem solving

Would walk through cases with a friend (also recruiting) via Zoom

Pros: Keeps you accountable, more perspectives

Cons: Schedule conflicts, not accessible to all

Step by step case interview with quantitative evaluation at the end

Pros: Thought process framework, convenient

Cons: Not enough practice, not realistic

CURRENT FUNCTIONALITY

OVERVIEW

7 of 18

Pain Points of Current Feature

Little Accountability

Limited Perspective

Little Interaction

Students can easily skim the questions and skip through the answers

It is more difficult for users to learn from other people in an engaging way

Actual cases are very keen on in person interaction - a key element missing
