Financing
On Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, the community will vote on a bond project. A bond is a way of borrowing money.
If voters approve, the school district will borrow a maximum of $11.165 million, to be paid back over 17 years.
The total project cost will be $12,730,000, with the remainder coming from district funds.

An Important Note for Eldred Taxpayers:
TAXES WILL NOT INCREASE� DUE TO THESE PROJECTS.
The funds will be borrowed only after two existing bonds are paid off in 2025. The payments would be spread over 17 years, with the first payment due in June 2026.

FAQs�Can you please explain again why�there will be no impact on taxes?

The school district budget that residents vote on each year does not include discretionary funds for major work on facilities and grounds.� �

FAQs�Why replace the football field and track?
In recent years, one third of home sports events have been cancelled due to unsafe conditions. The new, all-weather football/soccer field will be wider and suitable for hosting soccer games for boys and girls. It also will be open to the community.
FAQs�Why do we need a concession stand�and upgraded, expanded bathrooms?
A concession stand will be a vital part of families’ and fans’ enjoyment of events. The restrooms are out of date and their capacity does not meet fans’ needs.
