Prior Work

• Start point: full panels printed by a 2x4’ print bed 3D printer.
• Frame size, by geometrical considerations, is 6x12x8’ tall, nominally. Rough cost:
• Rebar truss frame. Cost: based on $10 for 8 foot sections ($24 for 20’)
• About 32’ of truss for 6-sided frame means $40//side
• $240 price point for 8’ cubic frame! Frame supports approximately 320 lb on top, and it needs to support only the upper gantry

Marcin - Printer Hot Chamber - Merge Workflow

• ¼” angle
• 1/16” plate for sides
• 6” - cavity with enough insulating value to make energy requirements low
• For example, for 30-130 or 100K W / 21 Km2 = 5W/m2 loss
• This means outside of thermal bridges, 30W loss per side - or 150W loss from 5 sides. That is good.
• WIth 4” insulation - maybe R14. 7W/m2 loss - or 210W loss. Not super significant. The big loss will be on top.
