Praise the King
There’s a reason why the
curse of sin is brokenThere’s a reason why the
darkness runs from light
There’s a reason why we
stand here now forgivenJesus is alive
There’s a reason why we are
not overtakenThere’s a reason why we
sing on through the night
There’s a reason why our
hope remains eternalJesus is alive
Praise the King, He is risenPraise the King, He’s alive
Praise the King
Death’s defeatedHallelujah He’s alive
Hallelujah He’s alive
There’s a reason why our
hearts can be courageousThere’s a reason why the
dead are made alive
There’s a reason why we
share His resurrectionJesus is alive
Praise the King, He is risenPraise the King, He’s alive
Praise the King
Death’s defeatedHallelujah He’s alive
Hallelujah He’s alive
Oh He’s alive
The grave could not ignore itWhen all of heaven’s roaringHell where is your victoryDeath where is your sting
The world could not ignore itWhen all the saints are roaringHell where is your victoryDeath where is your sting
The grave could not ignore itWhen all of heaven’s roaringHell where is your victoryDeath where is your sting
The world could not ignore itWhen all the saints are roaringHell where is your victoryDeath where is your sting
Praise the King, He is risenPraise the King, He’s alive
Praise the King
Death’s defeatedHallelujah He’s alive
Hallelujah He’s alive
Hallelujah He’s alive oh
Hallelujah He’s alive oh
Hallelujah He’s alive

Prayer
I Want To Know You
I’ve tried in vain a thousand
ways
My fears to quell my hopes
to raise
But what I need your word
has said
Is ever, only, Jesus
You died, You live
You reign, You plead
There’s love in all your words
and deeds
This weary heart finds all it
needs
Is ever, only, Jesus
I want to know You
Jesus my Lord
King of the Heavens
King of my soul
I trade my treasures
And all my rewards
Jesus to know You
Then know You more
Though some should curse
Me for Your name
I have no fear
I have no shame
You stand with me
For all my days
My ever, only, Jesus
I want to know You
Jesus my Lord
King of the Heavens
King of my soul
I trade my treasures
And all my rewards
Jesus to know You
Then know You more
Like wave after wave
On the ocean
Like all of the sand
On the shore
Your beauty and glory
Are endless
O Jesus I must know
You more
Like wave after wave
On the ocean
Like all of the sand
On the shore
Your beauty and glory
Are endless
O Jesus I must know
You more
I want to know You
Jesus my Lord
King of the Heavens
King of my soul
I trade my treasures
And all my rewards
Jesus to know You
Then know You more
I want to know You
Jesus my Lord
King of the Heavens
King of my soul
I trade my treasures
And all my rewards
Jesus to know You
Then know You more
SERMON
The First Commandment with a Promise
Ephesians 6:1–3
Ephesians 6:1–3
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well
with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Facing A Task Unfinished
Facing a task unfinished
That drives us to our knees
A need that undiminished
Rebukes our slothful ease
We who rejoice to know Thee
Renew before Thy throne
The solemn pledge we owe Thee
To go and make Thee known
Where other lords beside Thee
Hold their unhindered sway
Where forces that defied Thee
Defy Thee still today
With none to heed their crying
For life and love and light
Unnumbered souls are dying
And pass into the night
We who rejoice to know Thee
Renew before Thy throne
The solemn pledge we owe Thee
To go and make Thee known
We bear the torch that flaming
Fell from the hands of those
Who gave their lives proclaiming
That Jesus died and rose
Ours is the same commission
The same glad message ours
Fired by the same ambition
To Thee we yield our powers
We who rejoice to know Thee
Renew before Thy throne
The solemn pledge we owe Thee
To go and make Thee known
O Father who sustained them
O Spirit who inspired
Savior whose love constrained them To toil with zeal untired
From cowardice defend us
From lethargy awake
Forth on Thine errands send us
To labor for Thy sake
We who rejoice to know Thee
Renew before Thy throne
The solemn pledge we owe Thee
To go and make Thee known
