The graph showed a 3-Year comparative enrolment of Basic Literacy Program (BLP) and the number of completed learners.

The enrolment of the 3 school years were increading while the number of completers was decreasing.

Some reason affecting low turn-out of enrolment:

  • Focus of enrolment was on A&E program
  • Lack of interest

Hindering factor on low completion:

  • Transfer of residence
  • Dedication of implementers to teach BLP class
  • Sustainability mechanism of teachers

The trend of enrolment, completers and passers for the last 3 school years has been decreasing.

On the other hand, there were great lost of number of passers against completers of which it marked 47% in average of the 3 school years. This simply connotes that 53% were not able to passed the PPA. This just simply means that we were true in the implementation just making sure that learners who passed the PPA are those only who deserved. Learners who failed the PAA were still allowed to take in the next school year and additional interventions will be provided.

In terms of enrolment, completers and passers, school year 2022-23 had the highest number. The prevalent issue on poor number of completers for BLP and Elementary level on the previous slides marked the same to JHS. But as to the number of passers it has been improved.

Previous school years 2020-2021 to 2021-2022, the result were greatly affected by COVID-19 pandemic. We were able to adjust and recover in school year 2022-2023 as shown in the graph. The increase of passers was a manifestations of hard work and passion of our ALS implementers.

The provision of instructional materials (e.g. TVs, bond papers), technical assistance other opportunities helped to influence our implementers to work hard.

The graph showed the 3-Year data of Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) PPA passers for both Elementary and Junior High School level. It clearly stipulates that the data of PPA passers for Cluster-4 both elementary and junior high school were increasing.
