So in the beginning of this coming fall quarter, there will be the anteater involvement fair on Monday of week 0. Not only engineering but also all the organizations on campus will be boothing at Aldrich so check out. ESC will also be hosting a Scavenger hunt and it’s a good opportunity to get to know about the campus and meet other engineering students.

Kickoff week will be held week 1. ESC will be hosting events everyday. Some of the events include art of engineering which you can think of as Anteater involvement fair for ESOs. There will be some performances and other engineering organizations. They will explain their orgs and opportunities so please come out! Dean’s picnic will be held on Tuesday. This one is unique because you get to play soccer with the engineering dean and other engineering professors. On thursday we there will be and event called engitech where you get one on one private sessions with company reps to discuss any internship/job opportunities. Lastly, Friday will be the day of our annual ESO bonfire.

Like I mentioned earlier, there are many other engineering student organizations on campus. There are orgs that are specific to majors such as ASME, American society of mechanical engineer, (as-me) which is focused on mechanical engineering. BMES for biomedical engineering, IEEE (I triple E) for Electrical, computer engineering, and CSE major. And there are many more. Also there’s other organizations such as SWE, society of Women engineers, SHPE (ship) for society of hispanic professional engineers. If you are interested in fraternity, we have phi sigma rho which is engineering sorority and theta tau for co-ed professional engineering fraternity. They usually rush in fall and spring. We also have honor societies such as Tau Beta Pi and other major specific honor societies such as AEMB or Eta Kappa Nu. For those you get an invitation once you are eligible. You can learn more about all those organizations during anteater involvement fair and art of engineering that mentioned earlier.
