satuwrday was a very hot day It was a perfect day for a cool swim at the beach. in the afternoon my mum and dad decided to take famly went out to Piha beach and we and toook a picnic we have tea out there. The blak sand was vry hot on my feet. whn i went down for a swim i had to run really really fast so my ffeet woooldn't get burnt. I really enjoyed myself at Piha.

It was a nice afternoon. Sam and I walked down to the beach. We dug in the cold sand and made a big sandcastle. Around the sandcastle we made a small moat. When we finished our castle, Sam’s dog ran and jumped on it and broke it. We decided to go for a nice swim. The water was cold. I carefully dipped my feet in and slowly walked out till the water reached my waist. “Ahh” Sam splashed me. I decided to be brave and dive under. I took a breath and under I went. It was cold and refreshing. We splashed around for hours before crawling up to the warm sand and dropping on to our towels. I love summer holidays.
