Unit 2: Wild and Endangered Animals

Week 4: Research Question #3

What is it and how do you know?

Reading

Depict key details in illustrations.

Conduct short, sustained research projects based on focused questions.

Phonological/Phonemic Awareness

Syllables, Onset and Rime, Phoneme Manipulation

Phonics/Word Study

Read, spell, and analyze one-syllable words. (ar, or, ir, ur, er, & ear)

Writing

We will write Ch. 3 to teach our readers what our animal’s classification is and how we know.

Math

We will learn about place value using tens and ones.

Science/S.S

We will learn about Christmas around the world!

Holiday Concert @ HS

3rd - 5:30pm

4th - 6:15pm

Please make sure your child has a water bottle AND snack at school. I still have many without.

Remove papers from Take Home Folders every night and make sure they return each day. Also, make sure you return the home reading pocket each day so we can log your child’s steps and exchange books.

It is now cold! Please make sure your child is dressed warm and has warm outdoor apparel.

Please make sure your child has shoes to change into every day so they do not have to track wetness and mud through our classroom and hallways.
