• Establish the right roles, responsibilities, accountability
• Hire the right people
• Make sure they know what they need to do (and what not to do)

• Establish consistency, predictability and standards with doing work
• Make sure the team knows how things are done, who does them, and when

• Enforce processes
• Allow for scalability/efficiency
• Take a lot of the grunt work out of the equation
