QUE ES UN FRACTAL

  • Un fractal es un objeto geométrico cuya estructura básica, fragmentada o irregular, se repite a diferentes escalas. El término fue propuesto por el matemático Benoît Mandelbrot en 1975
  • La principal característica de los fractales es la autosimilitud, cada parte de un fractal refleja la estructura global en la que encaja, y al revés, la estructura global del sistema se repite en cada una de sus partes, por diminuta que sea.
