Take a picture with your iPhone

Upload to Google Drive

  1. Select the Drive app on your device
  2. Click the blue + in the bottom right and select upload
  3. Select Photos and Video to choose the photo

Download to Your Computer

  1. Find the folder with the image in Google Drive.
  2. Right click on the image you want to use.
  3. Select download from the options that appear.

Upload to LunaPic

  1. In your browser type in

https://www142.lunapic.com/editor/

  • Click on “Upload”
  • Then click “choose file” and find your downloaded image on your computer. It will most likely be in your “Downloads” folder.
  • Click on the image and then click open.
  • Click “Upload” to add the picture to Luna pic.

Find the Transparent Background tool

  1. Once your picture is uploaded mouse over “Edit” in the menu
  2. Click on “Transparent Background”

Remove the Background

  1. Click on the color you wish to make transparent
  2. Your page will refresh with the background removed

Adjust

Your background might not be perfect so you can adjust it slightly by using the “adjust transparency threshold” slide bar. Slide the bar to see your image adjust to remove more of the background color and clean up the lines around the image.

Save to computer

Once you are satisfied with your image, look below the picture for the “Save” option.

  1. Click “Save” to download the file to your computer.
  2. Click “Google Photos” to save to your Google Account (requires login)

Start a New Google Drawing

  1. From your Google Drive, click “new”
  2. Move your mouse over “more” and then select Google Drawing.

Add your Photo to Google Drawings

  1. Once in Google Drawings, you will insert your background image and then your green screen image
  2. Click on “Insert,” “Image,” and either Search the web or select the location you saved the photo
  3. Select your newly uploaded photo from Drive.

Finally! Use Drawing tools to edit!

Once your picture is added to a Google Drawing, you can use format options to adjust the two images to match

You can also add to your photo with Word art, new backgrounds, shapes, callouts, and more!
