The main activity that is changing in Alia is the integrated collection system that starts from the instruments on the territory, all equipped with proprietary technologies capable of producing and transmitting data...

Alia is restructuring the separate waste collection throughout the managed area, adopting an integrated digitized system, which will make the various collection methods organic, integrated and efficient, identified as peculiar and specific for each urban and territorial context, with an optimization of management, specific RD returns and Tariff management.

  • Alia is adopting the traceability/recognition of waste contribution, which allows for the establishment of a personalized relationship with each user;
  • Specific data collection systems are applied to the waste bins, which allow the contributions made by each user to be recorded;
  • Registration allows you to monitor user behavior (they correctly separate collections) and to intervene with information and corrective actions if necessary;
  • Registration allows the introduction in the municipal regulations of rewarding criteria for virtuous citizens

The strategic project is to extend the traceability of waste delivery to all forms of collection service existing in the area served.

The project is carried out through the research and development of electronic systems that can be adopted on all collection methods and at low cost for the community

The experience of confrontation between Alia and the citizen is a multi-touchpoint experience that is articulated according to a physical-digital logic or - as it is more often called - O2O (online to offline // offline to online).In addition to the traditional contact channels, our APPs allow for the management of contracts and interaction with the bins.

Volumetric sensor inside the bin

Methodology for detecting the object of the contribution (waste bag) and processing system of the dimensions.

The measured volume is 255.57 liters

The volume of the contribution is 100.19 liters

Alia has already patented an electronic card that allows the bin to become "intelligent" and a sensor that allows you to evaluate the volume of each transfer and associate it with the user. The overall functioning of the integrated container – which is unique in our sector – is at the heart of our transformation and is part of the intangible heritage of our company.

Soon, the digital trace that constitutes the digital twin of our service will enable many efficiency reasons and value-added services

- The on-board sensors of the bin allow us to make the collection service more efficient on a forecast basis by decreasing the cost of the service and the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere;

- In the event of problems or damage to the material in the area, the alarm systems promptly inform us, allowing for optimal maintenance schemes;

- Real-time data allows you to optimize routes according to traffic and external conditions.
