The plane crashes on the island.

Ralph summons the first meeting with the conch.

Sam and Eric are first introduced.

The first fire occurs, burning down part of the island.

Sam and Eric , along with a few other choir boys are put in charge of maintaining the fire.

Samneric leave their post to aid in “the hunt”.

The fire goes out resulting in the ship missing the boys.

The first pig is killed, and the fire is relit.

A meeting is called and rumors of the beast are argued.

Samneric are on night fire duty when the dead parachutist lands.

They mistake him for the beast and flee.

Another meeting is called confirming the beast’s existence. The biguns set out to hunt it down.

When the boys reach the mountain, only Jack, Roger, and Ralph are courageous enough to go on.

After the mountain incident, Jack questions Ralph’s leadership in front of the assembly.

The split occurs and Jack forms his own tribe becoming the “savages”.

Samneric are the only biguns to remain loyal to Ralph and Piggy.

Jack holds a feast and invites everyone to it.

Samneric let into their hunger and go to the feast with everyone else.

While doing the “pig dance” the boys mistake Simon for the beast and kill him.

The next day, Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric pretend nothing happened at the feast.

Samneric are the only two left to take care of the new fire, by the platform.

During the night, Jack and his savages sneak in and steal Piggy’s glasses.

In the confusion, Eric and Ralph think they are beating up the savages, but they were actually hurting each other.

The next day the remaining biguns set out to get Piggy’s glasses back.

When they arrive at Castle Rock, the savages refuse the request.

Ralph and Jack have a brief duel; and Samneric move between them and the castle.

Roger releases the boulder and it crushes Piggy and the conch, knocking him off the cliff.

Jack throws a spear at Ralph, hitting him in the chest. He runs for the forest to hide.

Samneric are taken captive and tortured until they join the savages.

When Samneric receive guard duty, Ralph comes to talk to them.

They refuse to join him, but do warn him of the savages plan to hunt him down. They give him food and approaching footsteps force him to leave.

Samneric are punished by Roger for helping Ralph, and are forced to reveal his hiding place.

The savages almost catch Ralph and a wild goose chase begins.

The savages set fire to the island to run Ralph out. He finds refuge in Simon’s thicket.

Roger almost catches Ralph and he runs to the beach.

At the beach Ralph finds a naval officer. The boys are saved.
