Wildlife Activities Committee

  • Group of volunteers tasked with facilitating the successful implementation of the RACC Wildlife Association yearly Wildlife Plan by each property owner.
    • Provide Information to land owners
    • Provide Resources to land owners
    • Assist land owners to implement projects

Provide Information to Members

  • What do I need to do each year on my property?
    • Plan, complete and document at least 3 qualifying activities each year.
    • Ideas and examples of basic activities every landowner can accomplish will be shown on our upcoming Website and supplemented on the FB page which is already running.

  • How do I know if I have done enough?
    • Check the document on minimum intensity requirements on the website.
    • Ask me or any other member of the board or committee by email, FB etc.
    • If we don't know we will ask Cathy!

Provide Resources to Members

  • Ideas and examples of acceptable activities to do on your property will be posted on our website.
  • Links to more detailed information.

TWWD information

Vendors sites for things like nest boxes, feeders, water troughs, native seeds etc.

  • Vendor resources for those who need help implementing a project.
    • Cedar/prickly pear control
    • Installation of habitats, water troughs
    • Fire ant control
    • Re-seeding with native grasses

Plan and Implement Association-wide Projects and Assist other Landowners

  • We need volunteers to join the Wildlife Activities Committee!
  • Project Possibilities include 
    • bulk purchase and distribution of materials such as nest boxes, feed, seeds, water-troughs.   
    • Organizing, conducting census counts.
    • Organizing, conducting predator eradication activities.
  • Respond to calls for assistance from members to complete activities.
