A-G Subject Requirements

High School grades of C or better are required

Honors and AP Courses

Honors Courses

• Are more rigorous than college prep courses
• Earn extra GPA point for C grade or better (A=5, B=4, C=3)
• Goes more in depth than college prep courses
• Prepare students for AP course work

Advanced Placement Courses (AP): AP testing College Board

• Indicates to colleges that you are prepared for college level coursework.
• Earn extra GPA point for C grade or better (A=5, B=4, C=3)
• A score of “3” or higher on an exam will earn college credit.
• Save $$$ and time by earning college credit in high school

Earning College Credit while at WHS

• Provides enrichment opportunities for students

who are prepared for college level instruction.

• Tuition fee waived for high school students.

​

• Students must pay SRJC service fee ($26) plus course materials.

​

• Complete the SRJC Application and the High School Dual Enrollment Request Form online each semester you attend.

• Consult with your school counselor regarding course selection. Santa Rosa Junior College courses

PSAT

College Board PSAT

Juniors may take the PSAT as preparation for the SAT. Student gain access to test preparation materials( Khan Academy), and career and college planning information. Pre Registration is required.

Freshman and Sophomores will take the PSAT exam in the Spring semester. This is a school wide event that is free to students. Prior registration not required.
