Levi Blue Jeans
Blue Jeans are durable pants made of denim fabric.
A customer of Strauss’ business partner Jacob Davis pants kept ripping. Levi Strauss realized that there was no durable pants available, his strong material and Jacobs metal rivets made the perfect pair of long-lasting trousers.
Patent #139,121
Levi Blue Jeans were patented on May 20, 1873.
Today, almost everyone has a pair of jeans. Without this invention we would be stuck in stiff, non fashionable trousers. We can now trust our pants to hold up through whatever. Since Levi’s, many brands, styles and designs have appeared throughout stores. Could you imagine life without jeans?
