Activity: Learner Assignment
PART 1: Activity: Whole Group/Class

Time: 5 mins.
Asynchronous Activity
Play the introduction video (resource #1). Ask the class, what is the value of doing first hand research
as an entrepreneur? How could it help you explore ideas for products or learn about your target
audience?
Time: 45 mins.
As a class review the "Lesson 2: Focus Group" page in the student portfolio. Each team will publish
their focus group activity results. To close out the activity, have each team highlight findings.
Learners to conduct their informational interview at their local store and complete the Market Research Worksheet. They will share out during the next class session.
PART 2 (next class session): Activity: Whole Group/Class
Ask learners to think about the most meaningful thing they learned from their informational interview for one minute. You can create a form and have them submit online so answers can be collected and reviewed together or you can simply have them think in silence for 30-seconds then have volunteers share out.
Time: 5 mins.
Activity: Learner Assignment
Time: 45-55 mins.
Direct students to join their company groups if they are not already with their groups. Everyone in the group should share their findings one at a time and provide feedback. They should prepare to summarize their findings and share out with the class. The summary should include how they can use what they learned during their informational interviews (and focus groups) to implement or consider as they develop their beverage company.
