Welcome, Blood Bowl coaches! To the rule pack for Manfred Ironskull’s 30th Birthday Celebration. This pack is intended to provide the information which you will require to prepare for and participate. We recognise that it is not possible to be totally comprehensive and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Please post any queries on the Facebook event page so others may also benefit from the answer given.

Costs and Contacts
The ticket price is £30 paid to Manfred Ironskull via Paypal (manfredhurdler@gmail.com). This covers your entry to the tournament a goodie bag, Food and prizes. Payment can be made via PayPal quoting your ‘Naf Name & Number’. The initial ticket allocation is only for 60 spaces.

Make a copy of the roster maker in google sheets (a free program) and fill it in then use the share button at the top to return it to manfredhurdler@gmail.com
We require a copy of your roster a minimum of Two week, before the tournament so that they can be checked by the TO. Your roster sheet has dropdowns for skills and gives values for skills your player can use. Whilst it allows skills to be picked you cannot use the TO does not so please don't pick them! This will greatly assist in getting the tournament started on time.
Chaotic Mutations
In the spirit of the honouring the dark gods, all teams tier 2 and lower will gain access (if not already available) to mutation skills as a secondary skill and can be added to team rosters as per the rules below.
In addition, all teams will be accompanied by the famous coach Papa Skullbones (Deathzone pg. 16) which will be part of your team roster as a free inducement. “By The Power of the Gods” ability Must be used by each coach at the start of each Drive. Any team with the Special Rules “Favoured of…” may re-roll the result “Unworthy” on the “By the Power of the Gods” table if against a none “Favoured of…..” team
Team Building
Teams will have the budget listed below to use to purchase their team:
Tier 1 - 1,150,000
Tier 2 - 1,160,000
Tier 3- 1,180,000

0-8 Re-Rolls, at cost depending on race.
0-6 Assistant coaches for 10k.
0-12 Cheerleaders for 10k.
0-1 Apothecary, depending on race.
0-6 Dedicated fans for 10k,
be aware that every team begins with 0 in Dedicated fans.

Tier 2: 6 Primary, 1 Secondary 1 player can stack
Tier 3: 6 Primary, 2 Secondary 1 player can stack (secondary’s cannot be stacked)
Tier 4: 7 Primary, 2 secondary or 6 Primary, 1 Secondary
1 star player. 2 players can stack (secondary’s cannot be stacked)

Inducements
Inducements purchased at team creation
0-1 Team Mascot for 30k, available to all teams.
0-1 Weather Mage for 30k, available to all teams.
0-2 Bloodweiser Kegs for 50k each, available to all teams.
0-3 Bribes for 100k each, or 50k each for "Bribery and Corruption" teams. (Tier 3 & 4 only)
0-1 Josef Bugman for 100k, available to all teams.
0-1 Mortuary Assistant for 100k, available to teams with the "Sylvanian Spotlight" special rule.
0-1 Plague Doctor for 100k, available to teams with the
"Favored of Nurgle" special rule.
0-2 Wandering Apothecaries for 100k each, available to teams that can include an apothecary.
0-1 Master Chef for 300k, or 100k for Halfling teams.
0-1 riotous rookies for 100k (Ogre/ Snotling teams)
Star Players
Tier 4 Teams will have access to 1 star player, this will cost 1 secondary and 1 primary skill) as well as gold. (pairs of stars count as 1 star) ��All mega stars will be in the bleachers watching the matches and drinking the captains grog so for this tournament the following megastars are unavailable:

Scoring
The tournament consists of three rounds in a standard Swiss-style resurrection format.
The full 2022 NAF guidance is being followed.
Point scoring
3 points - win
1 point - draw
0 points - loss
Tiebreakers will be TD differential, CAS differential, total TDs then total CAS.
In the event of a concession, the non-conceding player will be assigned a 2:0 win regardless of the score at that point (unless already better than that), Note that concessions are frowned upon in table top play.
At the End of each round please give your score sheet & Coach score sheet to the Referee desk to avoid delays
�Tournament clarifications:
Prizing
Prizes will be awarded for; 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Most Chaos like Award, Best Painted Team, Most Touchdowns, Most Casualties and Wooden Spoon.
‘Most Chaos Like’ Award
This award will be replacing our People Champion Award (Most Sportlike Award). At the end of each round we request you score your opponent out of 10 for the enjoyment of the game and their tabletop manners (We ask you score this fairly and honestly to avoid ties).
As well up to 20 bonus points will be award for two other key factors:
1) if they are playing a “Favoured of …..” team as that will favour them in the eyes of their dark overlords.
2) If they are wearing themed fancy dress to match the tournaments theme (We Highly Encourage this!)
3) How passionately they cheer to their devoted powers!
Dice & Equipment
You will of course need a team to participate in the event. There is no painting requirement, but efforts made in this area are appreciated.
Positionals and skills should however be clearly indicated and bases numbered to match your roster. Skills can be marked by base colour, skill rings etc.
In addition you should bring a pitch, dugout, templates, and dice
On the topic of dice:
• Agree what constitutes a cocked dice before the game begins.
• Make clear what each face of your dice means if they are not ‘standard’ �
Spot Prizes
In Honour and tribute to the dark powers we will be hosting 4 spot prizes every round dedicated to each of the dark Lords (Khorne, Nurgle, Slannesh and Tzentch). When a Coach achieves one of the spot prizes a coach must shout one of the below phrases:
Khorne Spot Prize; “Blood for the Blood God!”
Nurgle Spot Prize; “For the plaguefather!”
Slannesh Spot Prize: “For the Prince of Pleasure!”
Tzentch Spot Prize: “For the changer of the ways!”
Failing to do so may cause another coach to claim your spot prize. To avoid this please be aware of the spot prizes that are available and be prepared to shout your exaltation to the ruinous powers.
Final Remarks
We hope that coaches really lean into the theme of Manfred’s Chaos Cup. This is a unique ruleset and hope this is one competitive and more importantly Fun!
From a personal viewpoint i have been playing BB since 2018 and have had an amazing time and look forward to what the future has to hold.
