Introduction

You are going to create a new restaurant with your friend.

There are lots of things to think about!

Where will it be? Close to your home or in the city? Maybe you might want to create a food truck?

What kind of food will you serve? Who will work there? What is the menu? How will you advertise? What is the concept? How much will everything cost? What kind of music will you play? Will your waiters and waitresses wear uniforms?

You will prepare a Google Slides presentation for the grand opening of our restaurants.

Let’s Get Started :

Brainstorm all the ideas you can think about when you think about your restaurant.

Or draw a picture and include it in your presentation.

One way to find out what you both like is you use a Venn Diagram and then you can see in the middle what you share in your ideas of the restaurant you want to design.

Information

Some information about the food you are going to serve.

In this slide you need to find out more about the origin of the food in your restaurant.

Write 10 facts about this food and show the links where you found your information.

For example if you are going to serve Mexican Food,watch this.

Or if you love French pastry you should see this.

Location

Where is your restaurant going to be and why?

Make a pros and cons chart why you think your restaurant should be local or in the city.

Think about your target audience.

You need to answer five questions about your future audience: Answer these questions.

  1. Why? (Why should people come to your restaurant?)
  2. What? (What will you offer them?)
  3. Who? (Who will they be?)
  4. When? (When will they come to your restaurant?)
  5. Where? (Where can you serve your guests?)

Find 4 examples of restaurants around the world that you like how they look inside.

A Commercial

Make a commercial for your restaurant. If you want to see some crazy stuff check this out. Your commercial has to be 30 seconds long.

If you can’t actually film it, show the storyboard of how you want it to look.

Who is going to work in your restaurant?

Check out this list of all the jobs in restaurants.

Which ones do you need ?

Create a google form for people who want to work in your restaurant.

What kind of person are you looking for? What kind of skills do they need to have? Who can recommend them? Why do they like the restaurant business?

SOMEONE FAMOUS

Write four testimonials of people who have eaten in your restaurant and want to come back. Show their picture and write what they wrote. Or create videos of their experience.
