How should we interact with women at work/school?
As an Ahmadi, what is the purpose of marriage?
Why should I marry an Ahmadi?

Interactions with women: When the need arises, we are permitted to have a strictly professional relationship with coworkers and classmates. This doesn’t mean we should be texting and communicating about anything outside of our professional needs, and even when the need arises professionally, one should question whether the communication can be done with a male coworker or student. The Holy Prophet (saw) said “Whoever has faith in Allah and the Last Day, let him not be secluded with an unrelated woman without her guardian lest Satan be the third of them.”

In modern times, the privacy of chat rooms and text messages creates a similar risk of Satan to influence us. In fact, with texts and messages, it is easier to say something that is wrong. Thus, we should refrain from putting ourselves in situations where we are at risk of going beyond what’s permissible.

Purpose of marriage:

What is the purpose of marriage? Islam is a faith that provides for our needs. Having a partner is a core desire we are born with. Having a spouse can provide for our physical, mental and spiritual needs.

As an Ahmadi, what is our purpose to get married. Just like anything else as a Muslim, our purpose is progress towards Allah. Marriage is a means to protect our chastity. Additionally, a righteous spouse can be someone who push us towards the right path. A marriage with a foundation in Islamic teaching allows for husband and wife to develop a much deeper love.

The Holy Prophet (saw) mentioned Righteousness as the most important quality to marry for. Consider why? A righteous spouse will also instill the Islamic values that protect us from the ills of society.
