Attire

  • Please be aware athletes will be disqualified if they compete barefoot, in their stocking feet, with street shoes or in jeans.
  • No jewelry may be worn during athletic competition; this includes watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, etc.
    • The exception to this rule is for religious or medical reasons
  • Athletes need to be dressed in their team uniforms and wearing athletic shoes.
  • Caps must be removed before Athletics competition.
  • Athletes may not have their faces or body parts painted when they are competing.

  • delegation should begin lining up for opening ceremonies
  • follow the south fence of the track for line up
  • delegations should line up in assigned order
  • Opening Ceremonies Line-Up
  • Athletes that are playing a role in the ceremony will walk with their delegations. A coach will report to the cauldron once their team is settled.

Track Info

  • Track Staging: On the east side of the football field near the high jump zone. Parents are NOT permitted on the field.
  • Both Sides of the track will be used depending on the event and will run toward the East side of the track.
  • Awards: presented immediately after each race. Athletes will be escorted to Awards Staging.

** A Starting Pistol will be used - if an athlete is sensitive to sound please ensure that is communicated to the starters. If necessary athletes may wear sound dampening headphones while waiting for their race.

Competition time is FORFEIT TIME!!!!

Field Info

  • Construction: There is fenced off construction zones around the perimeter of the open field. Please ensure that all participants and spectators stay away from the fences.
  • Coaches & families must remain in the spectator zone not enter the competition area
  • Staging: Softball, Tennis Ball and Javelin will stage at the main Field Tents
  • Staging: Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump will stage at the tents by the small field house
  • Competition: Athletes will compete with their division. If an athlete misses the second call for their flight, they will be disqualified
  • Call Times: All call times will be provided in the Coaches Memo for Track and Field events
  • Awards: Athletes will be escorted directly from their event to Field Awards. ALL FIELD Events will be awarded at Field Awards

General Info

Game Regulations:

  • Athletes must wear a numbered jersey
  • Shin guards are required
  • Coaches must submit rosters to the scoring table prior to the start of each game.
  • Soccer Skills will compete on Field 3 from 10:30-12:30

*Coaches can't coach from behind the goal or be on the field.

**Coaches and Teammates must remain on the team bench.

Classifications

  • Classification matches will be 7 minutes with a 3 minute transition.
  • Teams will need to stay on the sidelines during classifications
  • All athletes/ partners must play in every classification match and competition game

Matches

  • Field 3 will transition to games at 12:45 after skills.
  • All teams will have two competition games outside of classification matches.
  • Competition Games will consist of two 15 minute periods with a 5 minute halftime
  • If overtime is used to break a tie, two five-minute overtime periods are used. If the game is still tied, penalty kicks will be used to break the tie.

  • Brackets will also be posted at the SOTX Awards Tent.

General Info

Scratches: submit all scratches prior to opening ceremonies to allow time if needed for any division changes

Individual skills: 10:30-11:30 am

  • Skills Competition will commence directly following opening ceremonies
  • Each court will a set station that athletes will rotate through for each of their skills
  • As athletes finish they may proceed to the awards tent where awards presentation will be given as division results come in

Match Play:

Matches will begin once all four courts have been cleared from the Skills Competition (est 11:30 am).

Please ensure athletes are checking in at the tent at least 10 minutes before their posted match time.

Awards

  • Cycling Awards will be held at the 20 yard line at the end of each distance.
  • Track Awards will be held outside of the track on the West end of the field immediately following competition.
  • Field Awards will be held outside of the track on the East end next to the staging area for field events.
  • Tennis Awards will be held directly outside of the tennis courts immediately following competition.
  • Soccer Awards will be held at the soccer fields next to the parking lot.

Packet Pick up

  • Each Sports team will have their own packet at their assigned location
  • These will include Meal Tickets & Meal Reservation Sheets
  • Name Tags & Scratch Sheets
  • Packets can be picked up at the designated coach meeting locations:

Competition Areas

  • All parents, spectators, siblings, and delegation volunteers must remain in the stands or in the designated spectator areas
  • Coaches may escort athletes to the event staging check-in area and remain with them until called with their heat/ flight to compete
  • Teams may set up their tents in the stands, but they must be completely tied down

  • To pick up lunch - you must present your meal ticket (from your team packet) to the volunteer at the Serving Tent
  • If you are picking up your whole teams meals, bring the whole bag of tickets plus a box or cooler to carry the meals in
  • Athletes and Coaches may also eat in the Meals Tents in Athlete Village (limited seating capacity)

Medical

There will be First Aid stations in operation during competition. Treatment provided at these sites will follow American Red Cross First Aid procedures. No medication will be dispensed. It is the responsibility of each coach, parent, or guardian.

The volunteer medical staff will administer appropriate First Aid, if necessary; make arrangements for emergency examination, treatment and/or hospitalization. Do not take an athlete or coach who is injured directly to a hospital or seek medical treatment before going to the First Aid station. EMS is on stand by if needed for transport.
